Directions from M4

From the East (about 30 mins):
(these are the least complicated roads, as the Cotswold has many rather strange ones)

  • Leave the M4 at J18, heading north on the A46.
  • Follow the A46 for 11 miles to Lasborough, then turn left at the sign to Dursley. (If you miss it and find yourself at traffic lights, turn left onto the A4135 and continue as below, adding 0.5 mile)
  • Follow that road (Bowldown Road, but unmarked) to the end and then turn left onto the A4135 towards Wotton-under-Edge.
  • Follow the A4135 for 2 miles, then the B4058 into Wotton-under-Edge.
  • Follow the B4060 to North Nibley – look out for the Country Inn/Black Horse on the right, but turn into The Street directly opposite on the left.
  • Follow The Street for about 100 yards: Nibley House is on your left when you reach hedges on the right. Park where convenient and go either to the side door (porch) or into the courtyard.

From the West:

  • Come off the M4 at J20 and join the M5 going north – then follow the M5 directions above.

Directions from M5

From the South:

  • Leave the M5 at J14 and take the B4059 towards Dursley then almost immediately the A38 north towards Berkeley/Sharpness.
  • At just under 4 miles, see good signs for North Nibley pointing right.
  • Turn right towards North Nibley, and follow this road for about 3 miles into North Nibley.
  • Soon after you pass the church on your right, you will see Nibley House on your right. Drive in through the left-side entrance, park where convenient and go either to the side entrance (porch) or the courtyard.

From the North:

  • Leave the M5 at J13, following signs for the A419 towards Dursley. At second roundabout join the A38 going south towards Dursley.
  • At about 7 miles, look for signs pointing left for North Nibley. Turn left towards North Nibley, and follow this road for about 3 miles into North Nibley.
  • Soon after you pass the church on your right, you will see Nibley House on your right. Drive in through the left-side entrance, park where convenient and go either to the side entrance (porch) or the courtyard.
